From Wynton Kelly and Red Garland to Tommy Flanagan, Bill Evans and beyond, these voicings pervade bop and post-bop jazz piano. Presented in six parts, this series will introduce you to both inversions of the major (part 1 and part 2) and minor (part 3 and part 4) ii-V-I progression voicings and discuss how to use them outside the context of the ii-V-I progression (part 5 and part 6).
