System Requirements & Troubleshooting
The lessons have been tested on Windows (7 and XP) and Mac OS PCs, Apple iOS devices (iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch) and Android devices using Chrome and Safari browsers. Compatibility cannot be assured with devices running operating systems other than those listed above (e.g. Windows Mobile and Blackberry OS, for example). Additionally, the lessons will not play when using Internet Explorer or Firefox.

If you click on the Practice Sessions link and get a .zip file you are accessing the pre- February 2013 Practice Session format. As of this writing (March 2013) most of the lessons have not been updated to the new format (onscreen Practice Session format) but I am working to get all of the lessons updated and hope to have this done by May 2013. Please contact me if you have questions about when a lesson will be updated.

Lesson Questions
Please contact me. I want to hear about any questions you have about the lessons.
Yes! Please contact me. Describe your musical background, experience and goals and I will write back with specific lessons for you to work on.
You should be able to read music notation (treble and bass clef) and should know how to play all 12 major scales. A good lesson to try to see if you are ready for the lessons is the Five Essential Seventh Chords lesson. If you can follow this lesson then you should be OK. This lesson also has a major scale refresher in the practice sessions to help you get your major scales in shape.
It certainly should. In addition to the theoretical material, all of the lessons are based on a transcription of a commercially available recording that will help you listen to and explore the jazz tradition.
