There's not always going to be a bass player there to lay down a nice bossa groove for you so you need to learn how to do it yourself. Learn a basic bossa bassline in this lesson and how to comp effectively over the top of it to achieve a relaxed and effortless sounding latin feel.

Practice Sessions & Playalongs
Practice Session 1: write out the bossa bassline to the tune Black Orpheus.
Practice Session 2: write out the comping to the bassline that you wrote out in practice session 1.
Practice Session 3:
play the written out bassline and comping pattern from practice sessions 1 and 2.
Practice Session 4: play the bossa bassline and comping pattern while just reading the lead sheet to the tune Black Orpheus.
