Diatonic Tendency Tones
Watch this cool little exercise and amaze your friends with your new found perfect pitch skills. OK, you won't quite have perfect pitch but you will get very close and you can learn this technique quickly. Each note has a tendency to want to resolve within a given harmonic context. This lesson will teach you to recognize these tendencies and to use them to identify each diatonic pitch by name.


Lesson Objectives

To describe the tendency inherent in each diatonic pitch to resolve to the tonic or some other diatonic note and to use that tendency to "hear" and identify each note by name.
