7th Chord Ear Training Lesson Details

7th Chord Ear Training
As jazz pianists we spend an inordinate amount of time with 7th chords: learning to spell them, play them and write them. But when was the last time you worked on hearing them? I know what you're saying- "Not more ear training!" But seriously, this is an important skill. Being able to identify 7th chord quality and inversion by listening alone will have a major impact on your musicianship. This lesson will help you learn to hear and identify by ear the five essential types of 7th chords- major 7th, dominant 7th, minor 7th, minor 7b5 and diminished 7th- in all four inversions using randomized quizzes with instant feedback.
